The S. Truett Cathy Honoree
Each year, one organization is selected as the S. Truett Cathy Honoree, embodying the generous and innovative spirit of Chick-fil-A’s late founder.
In 2026, that honor was awarded to Faith Kitchen in San Antonio, Texas.
Nominated by local Owner-Operator Greg Patterson, Faith Kitchen provides:
Three nutritious meals a day
365 days a year
To more than 5,000 individuals experiencing homelessness annually
The grant will support expanded job training, continued meal services, and increased operational capacity to meet growing demand.
As Patterson shared:
“By providing three meals a day to anyone in need, 365 days a year, Faith Kitchen is changing lives in profound ways. This generous grant from Chick-fil-A will help Faith Kitchen continue making a lasting difference for individuals experiencing homelessness in San Antonio.”
Regional & Community Voting
Some organizations are nominated by local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators. From there, Chick-fil-A One Members vote through the Chick-fil-A app to determine regional winners.
This unique structure combines corporate generosity, local leadership, and community engagement — amplifying both visibility and impact for selected nonprofits.
Additionally, the program includes:
Global Recipients (including the first nonprofit in Singapore)
Subsidiary Recipients nominated by General Managers from Chick-fil-A Supply distribution centers and Bay Center Foods
This expansion reflects a growing commitment to localized impact in communities connected to the company’s operational footprint.
What Makes a Strong Applicant?
Successful organizations typically demonstrate measurable community impact, innovative problem-solving, clear leadership and governance, strong financial accountability, and a sustainable model for growth.
These grants are designed not simply to fund good work, but to fuel scalable, replicable, and transformational initiatives that create lasting change within communities.
Is Your Organization Ready?
If your nonprofit is tackling food insecurity, strengthening underserved youth through education and leadership development, stabilizing families with housing and essential support services, or demonstrating environmental leadership through sustainability and community stewardship initiatives, now is the time to prepare your application.
Organizations working in these critical areas are uniquely positioned to align with the mission of the True Inspiration Awards and compete for transformative funding.
With grant awards reaching up to $350,000, this opportunity could significantly expand your operational capacity, deepen your community impact, scale innovative programs, and strengthen your long-term sustainability as a leader in meaningful change.
